I am an artist & researcher working in photography, video and text to investigate the conflation of public and private within contemporary society.

I am currently working on a body of research and work that examines the shift from 'civic' to 'public' ideologies in the UK over the last 50 years. My aim is to articulate some of the important moments that contributed to the UK's changing identity during this period. This work is particularly interesting as it will also give insight into the current political landscape, as the country is once again re-establishing its identity in light of the Brexit vote.

Prior to this I have been investigating the role of exhibition photography in relation to technology, with a programme of events taking place at Banner Repeater, London, Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland and Temporary Arts Project (TAP), Southend-on-Sea. The project was supported by Arts Council England and Elephant Trust.

In 2013 I founded Relief Press, a micro publishing house centred on a periodical journal - I invite artists, curators and writers to respond to themes to make a work specifically for the printed page. Contributions are manifested through on-going discussions, works in progress, live performances, archives and research.
