Nature Wired
The clumps of nature that exist on the periphery of housing estates are an ongoing interest. Most have now been replaced with transplanted, manicured horticulture—perfectly presented and maintained by private companies, funded through service charges.
This lightbox was a one-off work: an image printed onto film and installed in a halogen lightbox under glass. It belongs to a wider collection of images looking at nature on estates and the aesthetics of privatised maintenance.
Date: 2021- Ongoing
Medium: Duratran prints, Georgian wired glass on a handmade lightbox.
Scale: w24 x l16 x d6 inches
