Spectral Modernism
Created during a residency within Gildengate, OUTPOST studios, Norwich, where the studio buildings were under threat from demolition and I was developing work and thinking about how I could respond this context.
During this time I was using found footage of council tower blocks being demolished and was drawn to the smoke that is created through this process. I wanted to make an image that encapsulated that interest and responded to the space at the same time. The documentation of the fog within the space is used and projected in the same space using a purpose build screen.
